When I was a 14 year old, I wasn't doing great at Mathematics so my mum instructed my cousin to come and tutor me for a few weeks until my exam. When he finally succeeded and taught me formulas and equations, he asked me why I could get A's in English Literature when there was multiple interpretations but not with mathematics when (supposedly) all the questions could be answered by one (cough!) simple formula. In the end the he nailed it down to 'the fantasy side of my brain clearly worked better than my reality' and frankly I couldn't agree more.

We all know that Romcoms are deliberately orchestrated to target the female population, the truth is, in the words of a reddit user, 'women crave romance in the exact manner as men crave sex.

Since fantasy is a way of taking a break from life, I find movies are the perfect way of doing just that. It just gives us a 'little' hope and distraction in our lives... So here is a list of some of my favourite movies that let me believe the world is a magical place (well for about 2 hours anyway!):
