When I was a 14 year old, I wasn't doing great at Mathematics so my mum instructed my cousin to come and tutor me for a few weeks until my exam. When he finally succeeded and taught me formulas and equations, he asked me why I could get A's in English Literature when there was multiple interpretations but not with mathematics when (supposedly) all the questions could be answered by one (cough!) simple formula.
