When I was a 14 year old, I wasn't doing great at Mathematics so my mum instructed my cousin to come and tutor me for a few weeks until my exam. When he finally succeeded and taught me formulas and equations, he asked me why I could get A's in English Literature when there was multiple interpretations but not with mathematics when (supposedly) all the questions could be answered by one (cough!) simple formula. In the end the he nailed it down to 'the fantasy side of my brain
