Paddington In Peru Movie Review

I finally went to watch Paddington in Peru, but unfortunately, I was left a little disappointed.
The movie brings back our beloved bear, Paddington, who is happily settled with the Brown family in London. However, his stay in London is short-lived when a family mystery and a lost Aunt Lucy prompt Paddington to return home to Peru. The Browns plunge into an adventure that leads to many secrets being uncovered.
I was rather disappointed by the recasting of Mrs. Brown, especially because the original actress brought such warmth and depth to the role. This change, in my opinion, seriously affected the dynamic in Paddington 3. As many of you may recall, it was Mrs. Brown who shared the strongest bond with Paddington. While the new actress did a great job—her voice is remarkably similar—it just lacked that same spark.
I think the kids really enjoyed it, but as an adult, this one just didn’t hit the mark as much as the previous two films. It also lacked the same level of humor overall.
What I loved most (Spoiler Alert!) was the way Paddington embraced his identity. I adored how he acknowledged and celebrated his heritage, the diversity he encountered, and the bond he shared with his tribe, Aunt Lucy, and his chosen family, the Browns. It was absolutely beautiful.
P.S. To my Call the Midwife fans: You’ll spot some very familiar-looking nuns!
