Afternoon Tea At The Peninsula London Hotel

So, Jen invited me to tea at The Peninsula London, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint!

Now, for those of you who don’t know this little tidbit about me (yes, the "Get to Know Me" post is still pending... whoops), I actually used to work for Jen a few years back as an apprentice. And it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life! She's hands down the best boss ever. Scratch that—she’s just one of the best humans I know. And, bonus, she’s also the queen of all things chocolate. If you're not already following her, you absolutely should! Check out her website and subscribe to her Substack—you’ll thank me later, especially when you get first dibs on the best food spots. 🍫✨

Now, as much as I’d love to give you a rundown of everything we indulged in, I have to admit, the details are a bit of a blur (let's blame it on the decadent tea selection, shall we?). It was last week, after all, and my memory isn’t what it used to be. However, I do have some drool-worthy pictures that will give you all the food envy you need. And, if you're craving specifics, Jen’s your go-to gal for the inside scoop! 😉

What I can tell you is that I discovered my new favorite sandwich: the Silken Tofu and Truffle. Yes, you read that right. Silken tofu, truffle mayonnaise, fresh chives, all sandwiched between the softest, most delicate white bread. It was love at first bite, and I’m already planning to try and recreate it at home. Fingers crossed mine turns out half as good!

Okay, let’s get real for a second—this afternoon tea is a bit on the pricier side at £95pp. But hey, if you’re looking for something extra special and are in the mood for a little splurge, it’s totally worth it. You can’t really put a price on spending time with good company in an unforgettable setting. It’s an experience—one I’ll definitely be remembering for a while!

So, if you’re ever in London and want to treat yourself (or someone else), I highly recommend a visit to The Peninsula. Trust me, the memories (and the food pics) will be worth it!
